China Glaze White Out - swatches and review

Today I'm showing you a white polish which frankly was a big disappointment. I read a lot of reviews before buying this polish and they all said it was the best white polish ever and totally opaque in two coats. I beg to differ!! This is the worst white polish I've ever tried!! The formula is awful! It kept flooding my cuticles and after one coat of base coat, three coats of White Out and one thick coat of Seche Vite it's STILL streaky!!! >:-( Not ok in my book! The brush was also ultra thin and straggly. Even the bottle looks dodgy! Yes, I'm a bit cranky today ;)


GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT WHITE OUT:

Type of polish: Cream.

Colour: A crisp cold white.

Opacity: Ok. This is three coats.

Formula: Awful! It's thin and it keept flooding my cuticles even though I was ultra careful. Streaky.

Brush: Awful! Super thin and straggly.

Shine: Shiny on its own but I have one coat of Seche Vite in these pictures. I used SV to try to get rid of the streaks but they are still visible.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Accurate, but the pictures don't really show how streaky it looks IRL.

Grade: 1/5 :(

My only summary today is - don't buy White Out! Not even for just having it as a base for nail art. There are much better white polishes out there!

    I honestly can't even see the streaks in your swatches, so as difficult as the formula was, you did a great job making it work for you! I definitely feel you though with being frustrated with whites. All my frustrations ended when I got OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Have you tried it? It has the slightest bit of grey to it, which I actually think makes it easier to work with, and it looks a little nicer than the "White out" look. And the formula is amazing! I highly recommend it =)

    I agree with Polished Prescription, you did a great job working with this nail polish, because I don't see the streaks... This post will be useful to me, I'm still searching for a perfect white nail polish and I think I'm not going to buy this one! :-)

    Hi sweetie, now where are those streaks please??? However, I hear you regarding "Les Whites"!!! I refrained from buying a plain white polish until I got Ozotic Mr Big White. It certainly cannot be considered to have a perfect formula. But with two coats of Base Coat it is managable. I rather apply two coats of Base Coat and two coats of White than 1:3. What do you think of this "trick"? Love and some extra hugs - Puss xxx

    Ok nagellacket får ej godkänt men dina naglar får MVG! :D Jag fattar inte hur dy lyckas få d så fina!? Btw kan dy göra en top 5 lista med några vita/creme lack?? xoxo

    Okej, då vet jag att jag inte ska köpa denna:) det ser fint ut på dig men ska jag ha fler vita ska det vara för att de har bättre formula än de jag har...

    Jag tycker det ser fint ut men tråkigt att det ska bete sig så dåligt. Själv använder jag White On White från CG. Täcker (i princip alltid) på två lager och jag tycker det appliceringen är bra. Till dagens manikyr tror jag faktiskt att jag använda Star Nails (det där för en tia) vita. Ibland glömmer jag dock väldigt fort :P
