Flowers and Dots on Blue Nail Art

This is a nail art I did on top of the gorgeous and stunning blue jelly Will You Jump? from Sephora.

First I stamped on a Lily flower using Konad plate m57 and Essie Blue Rhapsody. Then I did the dots with a dotting tool and the same polish.

Essie's metallic polishes are excellent for stamping! So opaque and easy to stamp with!

I really love this Sephora polish! It's such a lovely blue shade and it's so sheer and glossy! I'm also very pleased how this nail art turned out.

How do you like this nail art?

Sephora Will You Jump? - swatches and review

When I saw this gorgeous indigo blue jelly for the first time at Nailmanic I knew that I had to have it! It was love at first sight! <3 It took me a while to go to a Sephora but finally I did and I could get my own copy of this beauty!

This treasure is so hard to capture! Mostly it turns out far more translucent than what it is. You get some serious VNL (visible nail line) in most pics! Yes, it's a true jelly which will never be opaque no matter how many coats you apply but I didn't want to show you pictures were it looked like I had no polish at all. :)

Anyhow, this is an amazing polish which is a must-have in every blueoholic's or jelly lover's collection!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Jelly.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: Very good! Easy to control and self leveling.

Brush: Excellent! This tiny little bottle hides a very wide brush :D Like Isadora-wide or OPI-wide-brush-wide! :D This was a total suprise to me. The old Sephora brushes were very thin.

Top Coat: No.

Color accuracy in pictures: Quite accurate. Perhaps a tiny bit brighter live.

Grade: 5+++++++++++++++++/5

This polish is AMAZING!! The color, the formula, the brush, the glossiness! I love it to bits! <3 Another thing I noticed was that it smelled almost nothing at all! The only thing I don't get is the name... Why is this gorgeous blue jelly called "Will You Jump?"?

How do you like Will You Jump??
What are your thoughts about the name?

Sephora Tie Dye - swatches and review

Many of you were curious of the new Tie Dye from Sephora when I showed you my Sephora haul. I was very curious too so I just had to try it!

The formula is thin like water so you need to be careful not to get it in your cuticles but it's not hard to avoid it either. Just don't take too much on the brush, which by the way is wide and nice :)

It's hard to describe the color of this top coat, it looks like a tiny drop of blue ink in water. It doesn't make the polish blue though, only one shade darker for each coat. The change is very subtle and there is no major change after one coat which is good because then you can safely add more coats to achieve the result you want.

I tried the Tie Dye over Orly Pretty-Ugly as follows:
Index finger - No Tie Dye at all
Middle finger - One coat
Ring finger - Two coats
Pinkie - Three coats

In the end it turned out to a blue skittle! And as you can see the Tie Dye doesn't cover the shimmer but let's it shine through.

I tried a gradient with it too :)

How do you like Tie Dye?
Any ideas on how to use it more?

Sephora shopping!

Last week I paid a visit to one of the two Sephora stores that is available in Stockholm and do I need to say I didn't leave empty handed...? ;)
This is what I bought!

Sephora Will You Jump?
Sephora Full Moon Party.
Sephora Nude Shot.
Sephora Gold Fever.
Sephora Tie Dye.
Darkens the polish one shade so if you do shorter
and shorter coats it gives you a sort of gradient.
I've never seen anything like it before!
Some new nail files and orange sticks too.

Which one are you most curious about?
Have you ever heard of Tie Dye??

Edgy Half Moon Manicure - swatches

For this Nail Art Sunday I want to show you a half moon manicure with a twist! The twist is that the half moons are not round but sharp and edgy ;)

The base it the wonderful and newly released "Peach Me Soon" from H&M. Then I've layered two coats of Sephora's "Twinkle Twinkle", a blue flake polish, on top of that. After this I did the sharp half moons using striping tape and Illamasqua's "Jo'mina". To seal the manicure I used on coat of Seche Vite.

I used the following polishes: (from left to right)
Illamasqua Jo'mina
H&M Peach Me Soon
Sephora Twinkle Twinkle

How do you like this manicure?

Report from the new Sephora store

Yesterday I visited my first Sephora store ever! I went to the new one in Täby, just outside Stockholm. I was of course hunting for new nail polishes and untried nail polish brands ;)
Sadly I was a bit disappointed... The only new brand to me was their own Sephora line. But a brand I think they are alone to retail in Sweden is Nails Inc and they makes great polishes!
Then they had Sally Hansen and OPI and some exclusive brands like Dior and Chanel. I had hoped for brands like Illamasqua, Nars, Sephora by OPI etc.
Anyway, here are some pictures from the store!

I decided to give Sephora's own polish remover a try. I also got a lemming of mine (yes!yes!yes!), that is Nails Inc Baker Street :D Finally I had to try one polish from Sephora's own line so I picked up a blue flake polish called Twinkle Twinkle.

If you live in Stockholm, or if you visit Stockholm, I think you should give this store a try anyhow! ;)
A little bird also whispered in my ear that a new Sephora store will open in Stockholm City but the date is not decided yet. There is also one store in Malmö, in southern Sweden.

Have you been to a Sephora store in Sweden or anywhere else?
If so, how to you like their nail polish range?
If not, would you consider going to one?
