Butter London 2012 Holiday Collection

One more holiday collection released! :D This one is all about glitter!!
And don't we just love those glitters...? :)

From left to right:
Fiddlesticks - Full coverage, semi-matte, magenta glitter suspended in a raspberry base.
Scuppered - Opaque, copper shimmer with pink, gold, and green glitter.
Jack the Lad - Opaque, moss green shimmer with gold, turquoise, and green microglitter.
Fairy Cake - Full coverage, silvery, multi-colour iridescent glitter suspended in a light grey base.
Scallywag - Full coverage, bright turquoise glitter suspended in a clear base.

I think these looks gorgeous! I wouldn't mind trying all of them but especially Fiddlesticks, Scuppered and Jack the Lad! These are the most christmassy ones to me with the warm colours of red, gold and green.

The formulas of Butter London are usually very good and I love that they name their polishes from British slang! So funny and witty!!! :D

What do you think of these polishes?
Anyone you fancy at all?
Which ones make your heart beat a little faster? ;)

Butter London Autumn Winter Collection 2012

I really must try some (or preferably ALL ;-)) of the new polishes from
the Autumn Winter Collection 2012 from Butter London!

Apparently they are inspired by rich textures like
sequins, tweed, satin and velvet.

Butter London says: "This season is about using texture
to add interest and depth to your look."

Lovely Jubbly: A magenta filled with red, blue and gold micro particles
Trustafarian: A sage green with a golden holographic finish
Gobsmacked: A deep charcoal with grey glitter
Shag: A shiny metallic in a warm orange-burgundy
Dodgy Barnett: A holographic shade that is between grey and silver

By the sound of it, I'd love to try them all!

All Butter London I've tried so far have had really good formulas
and the are all 3-free which is great!

Retail price is about $14.

Which one/ones would you like to try?

Butter London Slapper

Today I will show you a beautiful bright teal polish from Butter London called Slapper!
Not unique, but ooooh soooo lovely!!!

I don't really understand the link between teal and the word "slapper" though... :/ Please comment if you have any thoughts on this! ;)

In artificial light

Also artificial light but there is no greater difference in colour between artificial light and sunlight

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Cream.

Colour: A bright teal.

Opacity: Very good!! This is two coats. You can possibly get away with one coat if you apply it a bit thicker.

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Excellent!!! It's so easy to apply! Actually, most Butter London polishes have really good formulas.

Brush: Great! Perfect actually! :D

Durability: Good. A bit better than normal to be honest :)

Shine: Perfectly shiny on it's own, but I have one coat of Seche Vite in these pictures for better durability.

Accurate colour, photo versus IRL: A bit more green than in these pictures, but still teal, not turquoise.

Grade: 4+/5

I love the colour and the formula, but it's not a very unique polish colourwise.
If you only want to have one teal in your collection though - this is it! :)

Butter London British Racing Green

In sunlight

In shadow

In artificial light

Close up in sunlight

GOOD 2 KNOW:

Colour: Classic British racing green, dark green with green shimmer.

Opacity: Very good! This is two coats.

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Very good! Smooth and very easy to work with.

Brush: Good. Easy to hold since you can take off the big cap and hold the small one underneath.

Durability: Very good! No chipping for days.

Shine: High shine even without a top coat. I have one coat of top coat on the photos.

Accurate colour photo v IRL: Not quite so dark green irl. U see the shimmer more in sunlight.

Grade: 4/5
