Last week I had no spare time at all to join Holothon 2.0 or Holo Friday but today I'm in! And what a gem I've got to show you!! A silver polish with a totally crazy holo effect!! So go and get your sunglasses before you take a look at this stunner! ;) I'm totally in love with it!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: Very good! No bald spots even with regular base coat.

Brush: Medium straight cut brush.

Top Coat: No.

Grade: 5+++++/5

The holo effect is totally amazing on this polish! I could hardly believe my eyes when I applied it! This is definitely my favorite silver holo polish so far!

Blueberry Nails

The inspiration for this nail art emerged when I was sipping on a bottle of blueberry soup and saw the beautiful little blueberries on the bottle. At that time I happened to have a "clean" nude polish on my nails just waiting to be decorated. So I got my dotting tools out and dotted on a bunch of blueberries! :)

The base polish is the beautiful Pretty Nude from By K and the blueberries are made with KBShimmer Right as Reign and Barry M Matte White.

I love the result! The blurple berries are a great contrast to the pale nude and I like how the placement of the berries came out. A perfect manicure for this Nail Art Sunday! :)

Holothon: KBShimmer Goldie Rocks - swatches and review

It seems like I've shown you only gold and yellow holos for this season's Holothon... but this will be the last one - I think ;)

This is a golden metallic holo polish from KBShimmer called Goldie Rocks. It has some glitter in it too because when I removed it I felt it. It's not hard to remove though! It comes off as easy as a cream.

Strong linear rainbows on this one! Beautiful! Two coats is enough for full coverage.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: Good formula! Watch out for brushstrokes though.

Brush: Medium straight cut brush.

Top Coat: No.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 4/5

This might not be the perfect color for my skin tone but it sure gives you wonderful rainbows! :)

Golden Holo Swirls on Green Nail Art

It's Green Wednesday and I've got a holo nail art for you today! :D

The base is KBShimmer Goldie Rocks and then I've stamped on the green pattern to create the swirls. Well, actually the stamping polish is a turquoise but the gold underneath turned it into a green. The polish is Ocean Depths from By K and the pattern is from a MoYou London plate called Pro Collection-07. I've used this pattern before in a totally different look. Click here to see that manicure.

I'm quite happy with the result. It looks warm and glittery ;)

KBShimmer Lilac Dreams - swatches and review

For this week's Holo Friday I'm showing you a magic polish that I've got from my dear blogger friend Christine at Polished Marvels. This is the amazing Lilac Dreams from KBShimmer and it's actually my first KBShimmer ever! :D Thank you so much Christine for sending me this gem!! <3

There is so much going on in this polish that I don't know where to start! We've got an almost foil lilac base, blue glitter, holographic glitter and also a slight duo chrome effect! Puh! ;) It could have been a mess but all of these effects work so well together! Well done KBShimmer!!

The pictures are taken in different lightings to really show off all the effects :)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Hm ;) Holographic glitter with a slight duo chrome effect.

Color: Metallic lilac base with blue and holographic glitter.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: Good! It's fairly thick, but somehow it's still easy to apply.

Brush: Very good! Wide and comfortable.

Top Coat: Yes. One coat is enough to make the nails smooth.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate! But so much more beautiful live!

Grade: 5+++/5

I don't normally look good in lilac but this shade actually suited me! I instantly fell in love with this polish and I've got a feeling I will wear this many times again! I mean who doesn't like glitter, holo and duo chrome effects? ;)

Do you think there are too many effects in this polish?
