Bourjois Perle Illusion - swatches and review

This post is for my fantastic friend Goldie who is totally nude-crazy ;) and of course for all you other nude polish addicts out there! :)

I got this polish in London a few months ago and so far Bourjois has never disappointed me, neither did it this time. I then used this as a base for my beautiful Wisteria Nails.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Shimmer.

Number of coats: Two, but one coat is enough for short nails.

Formula: Excellent formula! You are in total control of every drop and every stroke! Due to this I can even live with the visible brushstrokes ;)

Brush: Very wide rounded fan brush.

Top Coat: Yes.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 3+/5

The shimmer in this polish makes this nudie glow! Beautiful! Excellent qualities too! However, I'm not a crazy nude polish fan like my friend Goldie ;) so a 3+ from me.

Rain and Umbrella Manicure

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the theme for today's Nail Art Sunday was "Rain"! I've had a rain manicure in my archive for months! :D

The base is Bourjois Modéle Taupe and then I've stamped on the patterns with a black polish (Misa I Will Survive) and MoYou plate Tourist Collection-05. That is the London plate. Which else plate would have umbrellas and rain on it…? ;)

Not the brightest manicure but neither is a rainy day ;)

Can you see the umbrellas...? ;)

Wisteria Nails

It's been a while since I did a dotticure and a loooooong while since I was so pleased about one ;)

I've named this manicure Wisteria Nails but due to the color I guess you could also call it Grape Nails ;) However, since I'm a florist and not a wine maker (lol!) I prefer to call them Wisteria Nails. Wisteria is a such a beautiful plant (Blåregn in Swedish).

The base for this manicure is Bourjois Perle Illusion. The Wisteria is made with dotting tools and Color Club Wild At Heart and Kiko #428 River Green.

And oh! It's Nail Art Sunday today ;)

Bourjois Modéle Taupe - swatches and review

I'm not really a taupe person but sometimes it's nice to get a break from all brights and glitters and rest your eyes on a calm natural color. This is such a color :) Great alone but also as base for nail art.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Cream.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: A bit thin so beware of cuticle flooding. Apply with light hand and firm strokes.

Brush: Medium straight cut.

Top Coat: Yes.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 3/5

I used this polish as a base for a fun stampicure with a very British theme ;) I will show it in a near future so stay tuned ;)

Bourjois Blue on Blue - swatches and review

Blue on Blue is really a weird name for this polish because it's not blue at all. It's a turquoise leaning towards green. However, it's an amazingly beautiful color! Perfect for Green Wednesday! :)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Cream.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: A bit on the thick side and not so self leveling as I would wish. Not super terrible though.

Brush: Very wide and rounded. Easy to use.

Top Coat: Yes.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate. First picture most accurate.

Grade: 4/5

This polish will look gorgeous this summer with a light tan ;) The color is absolutely awesome but due to the small formula issue it's a 4 from me.

French Heart Nails

Today my boyfriend and I have been a couple for 15 years! Not always a straight road ;) but still - 15 years today :)

I celebrate this by working (I'm a florist and Valentine's Day is around the corner - I think you can imagine the work load ;)) and by showing you this rather poorly made heart nail art. But I hope that you still like it and possibly can get inspired by it ;)

The base is the lovely Bourjois #26 Blue no Blues and then I've used Barry M Matte White to do the tips and then the black Barry M Nail Art Pen to do the lines and the hearts.

Bourjois Blue no Blues is actually slightly more green live so I'll try to enter this nail art to Green Wednesday :) I'll also join the Valentine Polish Week with this mani :) Click here for more info.

Bourjois Bleu Fabuleux - swatches and review

Today it's Easter Monday but it's also Blue Monday :) and I want to show you a beautiful blue creme polish that I got through a swap with the lovely Christine at Polished Marvels.
To my knowledge we don't have Bourjois in Sweden but I've checked out their range in London many times without buying anyone but believe me next time I'll get some because the formula on this one was great!! :D

GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT BLEU FABULEUX:

Type of polish: Cream.

Colour: A bright medium blue.

Opacity: Very good! This is two coats. It was nearly a one coater!! :D

Formula: Excellent! A perfect formula which is super easy to apply!

Brush: Excellent! No complaints at all!

Shine: Very shiny on its own so I have no top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate! Only a tiny bit darker looking IRL. But not less bright though.

Grade: 5/5 :D

This is an absolutely gorgeous bright blue cream polish! :D I have several similar ones but this is no dupe to any of them! And the way I see it, there cannot be too many bright blues in my collection!!
