Art Deco Holo Nails

The base for this manicure is the magic Spacecraft from Dance Legend. Then I've stamped on a pattern from MoYou London Pro Collection-06. The stamping polish is Essie No Place Like Chrome.

I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I like that the nails are only partially covered by the pattern so that the lovely holo shines trough :)

Dance Legend The Knight - swatches and review

Time for a real show stopper! This beauty was so hard to get! It disappeared from the shop shelves the minute it was launched - EVERY time!! In the end I finally managed to get hold of a mini bottle. Yay!! :D

And it was worth waiting for I can tell you!! Wow!! What a stunning multichrome polish!! Hence all the pictures today ;)

This is two coats and the color shifts are magic and easy to spot! Totally unique in my collection!!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Multichrome.

Number of coats: Two, but it's a possible one coater on short nails.

Formula: Ok formula. A bit runny. Apply with easy hands to avoid bald spots and brushstrokes.

Brush: Thin straight cut brush.

Top Coat: Yes.

Grade: 5+++++++++++/5

I don't care that this polish hasn't got the best of formulas, just look at it! It's amazing!!

New arrivals!

I'm really, really busy at the moment so today I just want to show you the content of a parcel I got yesterday!

Dance Legend The Knight, Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat
Arcane Lacquer Residuum, Dance Legend It's Hot Here

Soooooo glad to finally got hold of Dance Legend The Knight! It sure looks stunning in the bottle :)

Dance Legend It's Hot Here has been a completely must since I saw it on my dear friend Christine's blog Polished Marvels. Will wear sunglasses while swatching that 8)

Will finally try the hyped top coat HK Girl from Glisten & Glow. Will be interesting.

The Arcane Lacquer was a pure impulse buy. It just begged me to take it home with me and who am I to refuse such a calling? ;)

I tried one of these polishes immediately! Guess which one…? ;)

Holo Friday: Dance Legend #2 Spacecraft - swatches and review

It's been a while since I joined Holo Friday but today I'm in! This is a wonderful black holo polish from Dance Legend - Spacecraft!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Two, but the second coat made no difference, so one coat is enough :)

Formula: Very nice formula! No bald spots. Has a strange chemical smell though.

Brush: Quite wide straight cut brush. Did not spread normally, but maybe just my copy?

Top Coat: No.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 4+/5

This polish gives you amazing rainbows! However, I can't give it a 5 due to the chemical smell and the weird brush. A huge plus for the fantastic formula though!

Dance Legend #11 High Voltage - swatches and review

This was the first Dance Legend polish I've ever tried and I must say that I was impressed! A fantastic formula, a fairly wide brush and a brilliant holo effect! The blue base color is really beautiful too and very vivid!

It's been a long time now since I last joined Holo Friday - but today I'm in! :)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Two, but it's very possible that one coat could be enough.

Formula: Excellent! No bald spots or holo sickness. Super easy to control!

Brush: Quite wide and straight cut.

Top Coat: No.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate. Much more prettier live of course - as always with holo ;)

Grade: 5/5

Highest grade to this Dance Legend holo polish! I've got nothing to add. I rest my case ;)

Holo Butterfly Wings Nail Art

I don't often get super pleased with a nail art manicure but with this one I did! I was super happy with it and I wore it for five days! That's how much I liked it! ;) I liked the glow and sheerness of the holos and that it got a funky french feeling to it and who doesn't like butterflies?! :)

So for this Nail Art Sunday I'm super excited to show you my butterfly wings nails :)

The blue holo base is Dance Legend High Voltage. Then I've used MoYou's Pro Collection plate 05 to stamp on the black wing pattern. After having done that I thought something was missing so I filled in the small gaps with Jade Facinio Violeta and Color Club Blue Heaven. A bit tricky but so worth it!

Before I filled in the gaps. Look at that holo!!

Did I do right to fill in the gaps?

Comparison of "Black" Holos

For this Holo Friday I have a comparison of black holos for you! I put black in quotation marks because it's actually one black, one very dark grey and one grey holo that I'm comparing for you. But they are all shades of black anyhow ;)

These are the stars of today's comparison:
From left to right:
Different Dimension - Black Dahlia
Jade - Magia
Dance Legend - #2 Spacecraft

I did two coats of each with no top coat according to the following:
Index finger - Black Dahlia
Middle finger - Magia
Ring finger - Spacecraft
Pinkie - Black Dahlia

As you can see there are different kinds of black base colors, but there is also different kinds of rainbows. Black Dahlia has the weakest and most scattered rainbows whereas Spacecraft has the strongest and the most linear one. Magia has something in between.
Black Dahlia also has iridescent purple/blue/green glitters in it but those glitters are extremely camera shy.

Spacecraft and Magia have better formulas than Black Dahlia which is a bit on the thick side probably due to the iridescent glitter.

Which one is your favorite and why?
Have you tried any of them yourself?
