Holo Tiger Nails

Time for some nail art! This is a manicure I wore about two months ago. You can see how short my nails were by then :/ I just had to cut them because my pinky was torn off right down to the flesh :(

Anyhow, I think this manicure turned out pretty well actually! Tiger nails with a holo twist ;)

The base is Jade Mystic Gold and then I've stamped on a pattern from a Konad plate called m57. The black polish is Misa I Will Survive. I had to stamp twice on each nail because of the small print but I don't think you can see the joints that much at all.

Holothon: Jade Sunset - swatches and review

It's Friday and it's time for holo! I'm doing both Holothon 2.0 and Holo Friday and today I've got a holo from the new holo collection from Jade called Sunset.

I saw a swatch of Sunset and fell in love with it but when I got it and saw it in its bottle I got a bit disappointed actually… But once on the nails I loved it again! Does anyone recognize this behavior…? ;) I don't usually look good in orange but in this I do! Yey!!

Anyway, this color reminds me of those hard orange sweets my grandparents always had at home, dark orange but still bright. Lovely rainbows as always with Jade. It shifts a bit in color depending on lighting. Last pic is taken on a tube station far below ground :)

Here in Sweden we celebrate Midsummer today with dancing, singing and eating with friends and family. So today I've got a real sunshine polish for you, Jade Mystic Gold!

Jade Fascinio Violeta - swatches and review

This is a holo polish that many of you have seen before but it's such a show stopper that you can see it again and again! So here it is for this Holo Friday :)

The formula is perfect! This is three coats with no top coat.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Three but two is enough. The third coat made no difference.

Formula: Excellent! So easy to apply and no signs of bald spots or holo sickness.

Brush: Excellent! Very easy to use.

Top Coat: No.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate. Of course much more beautiful live!

Grade: 5/5

This holo polish is just amazing! It has a lovely purple base and a magical strong holo effect! The red in the rainbows is so gorgeous to the purple base! It gives the nails a dramatic effect which is stunning!

Comparison of "Black" Holos

For this Holo Friday I have a comparison of black holos for you! I put black in quotation marks because it's actually one black, one very dark grey and one grey holo that I'm comparing for you. But they are all shades of black anyhow ;)

These are the stars of today's comparison:
From left to right:
Different Dimension - Black Dahlia
Jade - Magia
Dance Legend - #2 Spacecraft

I did two coats of each with no top coat according to the following:
Index finger - Black Dahlia
Middle finger - Magia
Ring finger - Spacecraft
Pinkie - Black Dahlia

As you can see there are different kinds of black base colors, but there is also different kinds of rainbows. Black Dahlia has the weakest and most scattered rainbows whereas Spacecraft has the strongest and the most linear one. Magia has something in between.
Black Dahlia also has iridescent purple/blue/green glitters in it but those glitters are extremely camera shy.

Spacecraft and Magia have better formulas than Black Dahlia which is a bit on the thick side probably due to the iridescent glitter.

Which one is your favorite and why?
Have you tried any of them yourself?

Jade Energy - swatches and review

It's Holo Friday and I've got a stunning Jade polish for you today! You've probably seen it before but these are my pictures and my review ;)

GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT ENERGY:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Colour: Teal/Greenish turquiose with a strong holographic effect.

Opacity: Very good! This is two coats.

Formula: Excellent! The application was totally effortless. The two coats just slid on easily!

Brush: Excellent! No complaints what so ever!

Shine: Very shiny on its own so I have no top coat in these pictures. I did apply Seche Vite after taking these pictures and I thought that actually diminished the holo effect. So I recommend no top coat for this polish.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Accurate. Perhaps slightly more green irl and sooo much more gorgeous irl! ;)

Grade: 5/5 :D

This is an amazing holo polish with an absolute perfect formula! And the holo effect is amazing!

Mermaid Nails - swatches

Yesterday I showed you my Pongo Nails for the Disney Nail Art Sunday.

I actually did one more manicure with a Disney theme ;) I call them Mermaid nails and the inspiration is the tail of a mermaid, perhaps Ariel's from "The Little Mermaid"!

I'm quite pleased with the result actually, but then again who can go wrong with holo!

The amazing holo polish is Jade Energy and the black stamped scales pattern is made with Illamasqua Boosh.

How do you like my Mermaid manicure?
Do you get that fish tail feeling? ;)

Jade Vermelho Surreal - swatches and review

For this Holo Friday I want to show you a polish I know many of you like :) This is the beautiful red holo polish Vermelho Surreal from Jade :D
The formula is great and it's almost a one coater! It shows really strong rainbows! Just look at these pictures! :D

GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT VERMELHO SURREAL:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Colour: A rusty red with strong holographic effect.

Opacity: Very good! This is two coats but it's almost a one coater! :)

Formula: Excellent! A very nice formula which is very easy to apply.

Brush: Excellent! Perfect! No complaints at all!

Shine: Very shiny on its own, but I have one coat of Seche Vite top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate. Perhaps a bit less orange looking IRL. It's more of a rusty red than a red orange.

Grade: 4+/5 :D

This rusty red base colour isn't really my perfect cup of tea ;) but the holo effect on this polish is amazing!! It's very generous with it's strong rainbows!
B E A U T I F U L ! :D

How do you like this polish?
Do you have any other red holo polish to recommend?

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Colour: A cold medium pink holo.

Opacity: Great! This is two coats! :)

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Excellent! Perfect texture and it stays exactly where you want it to! :D

Brush: Perfect! Very easy to work with! :D

Shine: Very shiny on its own and the holo effect is amazing! No top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate. Best picture is actually the flash picture. The other pictures are a bit too warm pink looking. This is more of a cold pink than a warm pink in my opinion.

Grade
: 5+/5 :D

Pink is not may favourite colour, but put a lot of holo in it and I love it! ;)
The formula on this polish is amazing! No bald spots or any troubble at all when applying it. I had one coat of Seche Vite Base under it.
I want to try more Jade holos now!!! :D
