Graveyard Nail Art

As perhaps most of you know by now, I'm doing a Halloween Challenge this month. The theme for today is "Graveyard".

I decided to do a sort of romantic, non-scary graveyard scene :)

The base is the beautiful Gray by Gray from Sally Hansen. The church is made with Bundle Monster plate BM-224 and Illamasqua Boosh. I've also used the black Barry M Nail Art Pen to do the crosses and same pen but in silver to do the stars.

I feel that the starry sky did the trick with this nail art so I'm quite pleased with the result actually :)

How do you like my graveyard nails?
Romantic or scary? ;)

Mad Glitter Gradient over Gray - swatches

This is a glittery gradient I made a couple of weeks ago. I really like this combo of laid back gray and crazy multicoloured glitter! :D

The grey polish is Sally Hansen's Gray by Gray and the glitter is OPI's Mad as a Hatter. Click on the names for more swatches and reviews. I've also found a fairly good dupe to Mad as a Hatter. Click here to find out which one ;)

This was fairly easy to do. First I applied one coat of Gray by Gray and then I did the gradient just by using the nail polish brush of Mad as a Hatter. Tiny polish on brush at first to do the sheer part and then more polish on the brush to do the more opaque bit. One coat of Seche Vite. Done! :D

I love both of these polishes and together they are stunning! :D

Sally Hansen Gray by Gray - swatches and review

I really like grey polishes because grey is just not always just grey ;) even though you might think so. This is a gorgeous grey polish which, depending on the lighting, can look grey, grey-blue or grey-green. It's also a one coater and the formula is out of this world!! :D Enjoy getting to know Gray by Gray! :)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Cream.

Colour: A medium gray with hints both to blue and green depending on the lighting.

Opacity: Excellent! This is ONE COAT! :D

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Excellent! Perfect texture, like melted butter and it stays where you want it to.

Brush: Very good! Thick, firm and easy to work with! The bottle has a longer neck to which felt very comfortable to work with and on the cork it has a rubber band so it's very easy to open and close :D

Shine: Shiny on its own. No top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Accurate. What you see is what you get ;)

Grade: 5/5 :D

I love everything about this polish! The colour, the formula, the brush, the bottle, the name!! :D The only thing I don't like is that I bought it for my friend Goldie and not for me... ;) Maybe I'll get one for myself too :P After all, it's on sale for half price right now... ;)

Do you like grey polishes or do you just find them dull?
