Cirque Tibetan Nights - swatches and review

First of all, my pictures don't do this polish justice! Tibetan Nights is soooo gorgeous you have to keep looking down at your nails whilst wearing it! I ended up walking into people and almost into lamp posts and such too ;)

I know you've seen it hundreds of times before, but these are my pics and my review and honestly, can you eye ball this polish too many times…? ;)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Jelly with micro glitter.

Number of coats: Two (fairly thick coats).

Formula: Very nice! A bit thin but not runny and after all, it's a jelly :)

Brush: Medium size and straight cut.

Top Coat: Yes. Strangely it dried a bit matte (being a jelly?).

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate. Much more stunning live of course!

Grade: 5+++++++++++/5

I had this untried like forever before daring to try it. I was so scared to be disappointed. But I sure wasn't! I love this polish so much! The only downside I can think of is the bit too strong scent of lavender. But I can live with that when it's this stunning ;)

Comparison Cirque Bejeweled and OPI DS Glamour

When I applied the beautiful Cirque Bejeweled I started thinking about how similar it would to OPI's epic DS Glamour. Said and done, here is the comparison of the two of them. Just in time for Holo Friday! ;)

This is two coats of each. No top coat.

Cirque Bejeweled on middle finger and pinkie.
OPI DS Glamour on pointer finger and ring finger.

Bejeweld to the left.
Glamour to the right.

I think the pictures say it all really. You can see both the similarities and the differences. They are both blue holos but they are so different that they both deserve a place in my (or anyone's) collection! :) They are stunningly beautiful!

Which one is your favorite?

By K Matilde vs Las Vegas - swatches and review

Let's look at another By K polish! This is a clear based glitter polish with flakes in different colors. I'm not a huge fan of clear based glitter polishes. Probably because I find them both hard to match with base polishes and hard to remove.

However, this polish wasn't hard to remove and I got very satisfied with the match with the base polish. Here is Matilde vs Las Vegas over the amazing Cirque Tibetan Nights.

By K's polishes are vegan, cruelty free and 5-free.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Glitter.

Number of coats: One.

Formula: Excellent! The flakes spread easily and there was absolutely no need for glitter fishing.

Brush: Very good! A bit thin but then again I like my brushes very wiiiiiiiiiide :)

Top Coat: Yes. After one coat of Seche Vite it was actually quite smooth but not super smooth. It also dried a bit matte so a top coat is really needed.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate. Very glittery live!

Grade: 5/5

This polish was surprisingly pretty on the nails! Much more pretty than in the bottle. As I said above I'm not that much into clear based glitters but I love this combination! I'm amazed! I will definitely wear this combo again.

Cirque Bejeweled - swatches and review

If you read my blog post of yesterday you probably saw that I got a copy of Cirque Bejeweled in a wonderful nail mail from Christine at Polished Marvels. When I got it I felt I just had to try it right away! Off with the present polish and on with this beauty! And my oh my what a stunner it is! Pure royal blue holo perfection! Perfect for Holo Friday! Thank you Christine!!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Holographic.

Number of coats: Two.

Formula: Excellent! Avoid applying on the same spot though before the first coat has dried at bit. It has a strong smell of Lavender. Not unpleasant but strong.

Brush: Very nice! Not super wide but still very nice.

Top Coat: Yes. One coat.

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 5/5

Bejeweled is really like having jewels on your nails sparkling like mad in the sun! Great formula, lovely color, awesome rainbows! The only thing I didn't like was the too strong smell of Lavender. I'm very sensitive for strong smells though. Christine said she hadn't even noticed the smell of Lavender when she tried it. So it might be very individual.
