Inverted tips on flower nails for Nail Art Sunday

This is a fun and totally crazy nail art for today's NailArt Sunday! :D
The diagonal tips of the nails are supposed to be an inversion of the rest of the nail. You can see it best on the close-up picture further down.

I used China Glaze Desert Sun as base polish. Then I used a black polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-224 to stamp on the black flowers.
Using a nail striping tape I did the black diagonal tips.
Then I stamped on the gold flowers on to the tips using the same plate and Orly Luxe. While doing this I protected the rest of the nail with some plastic so that the gold flowers only ended up on the black suface.
To seal the manicure I applied one coat of Seche Vite.

Yes, the whole thing took a while but it was fun and the result is pretty cool,
or what do you think? ;)

#24 Ciaté Mini Mani Month

Today I opened the last door of Ciaté's advent calendar :(
Behind door number twentyfour was Enchanted Rose which is a red glitter polish. It looks nice but it's not very unique...
I'm so happy that I now have got 24 new Ciaté polishes to try out!
...but shouldn't it be 30 doors in a calendar called Mini Mani Month ;)

Ciaté Enchanted Rose
Today's text behind the door. Do you agree? ;)
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!!
Merry Christmas!!
Hope you'll get many new polishes! ;)

Gingerbread man in silver on red nail art - swatches

I had to make my red nails even more chistmassy ;) so I added a gingerbread man in silver with green buttons! ;) Around the gingerbread man are pieces of mistletoe. I hope you like them! ;)

The red base is OPI's The Spy Who Loved Me and the pattern is stamped with Depend's silver polish #223 and Bundle Monster plate BM-222. The green buttons are made with Essie's Stylenomics with help of a tiny dotting tool.
One coat of Seche Vite seals the manicure.

Did you enjoy this mani? ;)

#23 Ciaté Mini Mani Month

Behind door number twentythree in Ciaté's advent calender was Mojito which is an apple green cream polish! :D It looks gorgeous in the bottle and I can't wait to try it!! A true spring colour! :D

Today's message behind the door.
Have a great Sunday!!

OPI The Spy Who Loved Me - swatches and review

As it's beginning to feel like x-mas now, even though I work 24/7 ;), I want to show you a gorgeous red polish with excellent qualities! You have probably seen it about a million times by now, but I'll show it anyway because I think it's a great x-mas polish! Just look at this Santa catcher! ;)

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Shimmer.

Colour: A bright red leaning to orange (but it's not orange, it's red ;)) and packed with gold shimmer.

Collection: OPI Skyfall Holiday 2012.

Opacity: Good! This is two coats. In some lighting you can still see some VNL so perhaps you need a third coat if you are fussy with VNL ;)

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Very good! Perfect texture and very easy to work with.

Brush: Good! Nice and thick, but possibly a bit too soft...

Shine: Very shiny on its own but I have one coat of Seche Vite in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate... A bit darker red IRL and not so much orange as most pictures show. The best pictures are the daylight and full hand picture. The shimmer is more visible IRL as well!

Grade: 4/5 :)

This is a lovely bright red polish with excellent qualities! It has a twist too with all that gold shimmer! If you are a red polish lover you need this in your collection! ;)

Do you think this is a x-massy polish...?
Will you wear it for x-mas...? ;)
