Barry M Red Black

In natural light with a matte top coat and shiny tips

In artificial light
Pls note the opposite pattern on the ring finger ;) shiny nail with matte tip :)

In natural light

In artificial light and with no matte top coat. It is naturally very glossy!

About Red Black:
A nice black/red jelly polish. In some lights it looks just black but when you add light you can see the dark red tone in it. It looks like really dark red blood ;) maybe a Halloween polish ;)

Barry M is supposed to be famous for their opaque polishes but this one took three coats to be fully opaque! And this in spite it's a really dark colour!!! Disappointing...

The formula is ok. It has a tendency to be thinner at the cuticles but otherwise ok.

Drying time a bit on the slow side.

I played a bit the contrasts of matte and shiny and ended up with matte nail beds and shiny tips. Fairly nice actually! Try it!

China Glaze Life Preserver with Nubar's 2010

In natural light and with a Halloween twist ;)

Close up in natural light

China glaze Life Preserver is an orange/brick coloured creamy polish.
Full coverage in two coats.
Nice drying time.
Lasting time ok, not great. It's possible that 2010 affected it.

I think these two polishes made a perfect match!
I've had trouble with finding a good match to Nubar's 2010 because I find the flakes mostly orange and not multicoloured like I've seen on other polish blogs pictures, but together with an orange polish it was great!!

The only down side is that it made life preserver more orange than brick coloured and to be honest... that's why I bought life preserver in the first place... Next time I'll wear it alone, it is a nice colour actually! Fairly unique.

The black pumpkin is made with a plate from Bundle Monster.

OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window

In strong artificial light

Full hand picture ;)

Perfect match! ;)

About the polish:
A dark olive green creamy polish.
Very nice opacity, full coverage in only two coats.
Normal drying time.
No chipping for days!

BUT:
it crackles inside the bottle so you must give it a good shake or roll before applying it, and it doesn't matter how long you shake or roll it, it'll never really blend... But have no fear, it won't appear like that on the nail.

BUT please note!
It will be at LEAST one shade darker after it's dried on the nail! When you have applied it, it's like dark particles rise from the deep and darkens the colour.

BUT if you are ok with these facts ;) this is a really nice polish!

And the name is so witty and funny!! I love it!!!!

Orly Luxe with zebra pattern

Orly Luxe by it self, two coats

Orly Luxe with a black zebra pattern

This was my choice:
Orly Luxe with back zebra pattern or
A black nail polish with Orly Luxe zebra pattern...
Both really nice but I went for the first choice! ;)

About Orly Luxe:
An absolutely fantastic polish! A golden foil polish with a tiniest hint of silver in it. Gorgeous!!!
Great coverage, two coats is enough for full opacity.
It dries really fast and there is no chipping for days!
