Vintage Challenge: Zoya Posh (Matte) - swatches and review

Today's theme for the Vintage Challenge is "Red" and I've got a gorgeous limited edition polish to show you! This is Zoya Posh (Matte) from Zoya's Limited Edition Matte Velvet Collection which was released during autumn of 2009.

I actually got my hands on this polish via Swedish e-bay and I paid almost nothing for it. It wasn't until years after the purchase I googled it and understood what a rare gem I owned! What a happy surprise that was!

For you who didn't read yesterday's post I can tell you that this week is Vintage Challenge week! My lovely blog friend Christine from Polished Marvels and I have decided to only show vintage polishes this week and you can join us if you want to! Just add the links to your posts in the link gadget below! For more information regarding this challenge and to get the code for the inlinkz gadget click here.

Zoya Posh with a top coat.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: Matte shimmer.

Color: A dark red with lots of bright red shimmer.

Number of coats: Two coats, but you can easily get away with one coat!

Formula: Perfect formula. Easy to control and very self leveling. No streaks in spite of all that shimmer! Dries very fast too.

Brush: Very nice! No complaints at all.

Top Coat: No. It dries matte and it looks like you've got velvet on your nails! <3

Color accuracy in pictures: Accurate.

Grade: 5/5

I opened this bottle over four years ago and the formula is just as perfect today as for four years ago! Amazing! This polish is also great for stamping and it looks wonderful both as matte and shiny!

How do you like Posh?
Do you prefer it matte or shiny?

  4. Jag föredrar det glansigt, men tycker det ser väldans fint ut även som matt.

  5. I ♥ matte finish. It's so warm and PERFECT for the fall/winter. Of course, I think it's perfect everyday, in every time, if you are in the mood. ;) I deserve a Zoya Matte velvet. Right here, right now. Have a nice day!

  15. Looks great! There's a soft spot in my heart for the matte finish but I do love how all that shimmer comes out to play when you add topcoat! Mattes are great; quick dry time and a beautiful finish.
