China Glaze Watermelon Rind - swatches and review

Today I'll show you an "old" polish that has been laying untried in my drawer for ages and once I got it on my nails I wondered why I hadn´t tried it before?! Does anyone else recognize this behavior...? ;) Now, let's take a look at it!

GOOD TO KNOW:

Type of polish: A glass flecked polish (a sort of mix of glitter and foil).

Colour: A rich emerald green with green micro glitter and shimmer in a green jelly-ish base.

Collection: China Glaze Summer Days, Summer 2009. 

Dupe: Color Club's Metamorphosis is similar, but not a perfect dupe.

Opacity: Good! This is three coats. When I applied the first layer I thought I'd need fourty layers, but it shaped up after the second layer and after the third it was opaque!

Drying time: Quite fast actually! A bit faster than normal. ;)

Formula: Good! It applies really good and stays where it should which suprised me since the formula is rather thin.

Brush: Ok. A bit thin and soft and but ok.

Shine: Shiny on its own, but I have one coat of Seche Vite in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: It's a bit more green IRL and not so much teal as these pictures show.

Grade: 4/5 :)

This is a much nicer polish once you have applied it than in the bottle!
So don't dismiss it when you see the bottle, give it a chance! Especially if you're in to green polishes! ;)
