Isadora Steel My Heart - swatches and review

Today I want to show you a polish I got on a sale the other day. This is Steel My Heart from Swedish Isadora. I like that they've played with the name and spelled steal steel instead because it has a steel grey colour ;)
It's a magnetic polish but I didn't wear it with the magnetic effect but only as itself. It has a pretty green shimmer effect and a somewhat duo chrome effect.
Looking at the pictures now I see that it looks like three different polishes! :D But it's the same polish in all the pictures - I promise! :)

GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT STEEL MY HEART:

Type of polish: Magnetic/duo chrome/shimmer.

Colour: A steel grey with green shimmer and purple duo chrome effect.

Opacity: Excellent! This is ONE coat! :D

Formula: Excellent! A very nice formula which is easy to apply. It dried very quickly too!

Brush: Excellent! No complaints at all. I'm a fan of these wide brushes :)

Shine: Very shiny on its own so I have no top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate! The shimmer was really hard to capture but it does transfer on to the nails!

Grade: 3/5 :)

I 'm not fan of magnetic polishes (been there, done that ;)) but if you don't give the nails that touch of a magnet they can be quite pretty :) If you do want to have the magnetic effect this polish showed the effect very quickly!! It said 15 seconds on the bottle but 5 seconds was enough.
I would never had bought this to full retail price but it was on sale so I decided to give it a try and to be honest the name stole my heart a bit too ;)

How do you like Steel My Heart?
What to you think of magnetic polishes?

  4. Just today I played with my magnetic nail polishes, I got a new magnet from Kiko, it has a "swirl" effect, so I had to try it... :-) (Important: I DID NOT buy a new magnetic nail polish, just a magnet, can you believe me?) And, I noticed how much the nail polish changes when you apply a magnet, the thing that I see on your last photo! :-) Beautiful magnetic effect! :-)
