Girly Bits Eggnogoholic - swatches and review

I've just received a stash of indie polishes and first to be shown is Girly Bits Eggnogoholic. It's actually from last years winter holiday collection, hence the name ;) but I don't it's x-massy at all. Do you?
This is in fact my friend Goldie's polish but she has kindly let me try it first :) Thanks Goldie dear!! :D
Eggnogoholic is a creamy white jelly with gold glitter. In these pictures I wear three coats but you can still see some vnl (visible nail line) but I don't mind.

GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT EGGNOGOHOLIC:

Type of polish: Jelly with glitter.

Colour: A creamy white jelly with small and large round gold glitter.

Collection: Girly Bits Season of Sparkle Winter 2012 Collection.

Opacity: Good! This is three coats. Not too bad for a jelly even though you can still see some vnl.

Formula: Very good! A nice formula which is easy to work with.

Brush: Very good! No complaints ;)

Shine: Shiny on its own so I have no top coat in these pictures.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Accurate! What you see is what you get :)

Grade: 3+/5 :)

This is a fun polish with a soft white base with lots of shiny gold glitter in it!
I can't say it's the best colour for my skintone though... and I miss some umpf in it if you know what I mean ;)
I guess this is a good work polish if you want to wear something different but still not too provocative :)

How do you like Eggnogoholic?
Do you like Eggnog? :)

  4. I like the gold glitter in this one cara Jezzica! and like you said, I don't find it typical for x-mass, it looks perfect for every season in my opinion. What I like most in a jelly is the transparency that gives the effect like it just been painted. Lovely! xx

    1. Cara Natalia! :D I couldn't agree with you more!
I also like the depth a jelly with glitter creates. Bellissima!
      Stammi bene cara!

  5. Hi cupcake, oh I am drooling over this - it looks beautiful on you :-)!!! I lately really came to love those slightly transparent jellies and - at least when I wear any - don't like the stark look of "compact" background anymore - you know what I mean? It is as if those soft jellies loose their magic. As for Eggnog - no, I don't like it, but then I am not much into any alcohol anymore - I prefer a glass of good red wine any cocktail these days ;-) - Take care xxx

    1. Hi darling! Hope you are feeling better today!!
Me too love these type of jellies with glitter! I love the depth effect they create! I'm actually wearing a new one right now which I'll show you later next week ;)
I don't like Eggnog either. I'm a bit of a coke-oholic so I prefer a coke over much anything ;) Take care pet!
