How to remove glitter polish easily

Today I will share a great tip on how to remove those polishes that is stuck like glue to your nails, like glitter polishes.

U will need:
Aluminium foil
Cotton or cotton pads
A pair of scissors
Remover

1.
Cut ten pieces of foil about 10x10 cm.

2.
Make ten cotton balls or use ten pads (I usually cut five pads in halves).

3.
Put remover on the cotton generously and put it against the nail (make sure it covers the whole nail).

4.
Put the aluminium foil round the finger so that the cotton stays on the nail and puts a bit of pressure on the cotton.

5.
Do step 3 and 4 on the rest of the nails.

6.
Leave the aluminium packages on your nails for 5-15 minutes depending on the polish.

7.
Remove the aluminium packages but rub it first over the nail in order to rub of the polish.

8.
If needed, remove all remaining polish with fresh cotton and remover.

DONE! :D Easy peasy! ;)

PLEASE REMEMBER TO RECYCLE THE ALUMINIUM FOIL BITS!!!
Producing aluminium is very bad for Mother Nature :(

Ciaté Strawberry Milkshake

GOOD 2 KNOW:

Colour: A soft light pink - the exact colour of a strawberry milkshake! Yummy!! ;)

Opacity: This is two coats if you wear it alone you should do three coats.

Drying time: A bit faster than normal. Great! :)

Formula: A dream to apply!!! Love it!!!

Brush: As always from Ciatè, excellent brush!!

Durability: Very good, no chipping for days!

Shine: Not super shiny, use a glossy top coat if you want it super shiny.

Accurate colour, photo vs IRL: Quite accurate actually.

Grade: 4/5

I have a leopard print on top made with a Konad plate and a black polish from Illamasqua called Boosh.

Swedish flag nail art

I painted these Swedish flag nails for the Swedish national day on June 6th.

First I painted the whole nail with Orly's Glowstick. Then I used scotch tape to mark the stripes.
Then I painted one coat of Ciatè's Skinny Jeans and quickly removed the scotch tape.
I sealed the whole thing of with one coat of Seche Vite.
Done! ;)

Dupes to Orly Glowstick

These are possible dupes to Orly's popular Glowstick.

Very good alternatives if you can't get hold of Glowstick and one is a cheaper option as well.

On the picture from left to right:
Depend #35
Illamasqua Rare
Orly Glowstick

Depend is the cheapest one but also the smallest bottle.

They are all neon yellow but there is a hint more green in them from left to right. Glowstick is the one with most green in it.

But the difference between them is tiny.

I think Rare has the best formula so Rare is my no one choice for neon yellow! :)

Butter London British Racing Green

In sunlight

In shadow

In artificial light

Close up in sunlight

GOOD 2 KNOW:

Colour: Classic British racing green, dark green with green shimmer.

Opacity: Very good! This is two coats.

Drying time: Normal.

Formula: Very good! Smooth and very easy to work with.

Brush: Good. Easy to hold since you can take off the big cap and hold the small one underneath.

Durability: Very good! No chipping for days.

Shine: High shine even without a top coat. I have one coat of top coat on the photos.

Accurate colour photo v IRL: Not quite so dark green irl. U see the shimmer more in sunlight.

Grade: 4/5

Orly Glowstick

Photo in daylight

GOOD 2 KNOW:

Opacity: VERY POOR!! This is FIVE coats and you can still see a bit of VNL >:-( I strongly recommend a white polish under it!!

Drying time: AWFUL!!! I had to wait approx 30 min between each coat!!!

Formula: Bad. Thin and streaky.

Brush: Too thin but ok.

Durability: Good for a neon actually - IF you use a top coat.

Shine: None without a top coat. One coat of top coat is enough though. Many neons eat top coat but not Glowstick.

Accurate colour photo v IRL: More neon IRL. Draws a lot of attention and I couldn't stop looking at it myself. :)

Grade: 3/5

Color Club Holiday Splendor

In artificial light, very glittery and holographic :)

In daylight, still beautiful but not holographic

GOOD 2 KNOW:

Opacity: very good! This is 2 coats. U could get away with one thick coat :D

Drying time: ok. Average.

Formula: ok. A bit on the thick side but easy to work with.

Brush: Good. No complaints ;)

Durability: very good! No chipping for days :D

Shine: needs a top coat to be shiny and smoother. I had 2 coats of Seche Vite. Top coat doesn't affect the holo effect. More enhances it actually.

Accurate colour photo v IRL: it's a bit more green irl. And even more glittery!!! The photos don't do it justice!!

Grade: 5/5 :D
